Land Regulations

Land Regulations Written to Protect You and Your Neighborhood

Our land regulations are very straightforward. Each property owner contributes to have their property taken care of, maintain borders, and plant the property lines. Each owner needs to bury the electric line to their home, and is limited to 2 structures. Rancho Dulce is a single homesite community and is not offered to anyone interested in building a hotel, lodge or cabina. However, you may build 2 residences on your property and are welcome to rent your place during the times when you are not occupying your home. We have services that can make this easier for you once your home is built, including gardening, maid, security and an annual planting & maintenance programs. Our concept is designed to minimize your annual expenses, and at the same time, keep an eye on your property, beautify your homesite, and increase the value of your property by helping to reduce the temperature of the planet. Planting trees helps sequester carbon and helps keep the temperature down and also, we encourage you to plant food for both people and wildlife.

Our regulations provide unlimited access to our 27-acre rainforest reserve which is open to owners, families and guests, including 2-3 km. of newly built winding trails in the rainforest. We also have preventative measure to prevent new neighbors from building concrete fences, installing electric gates, and our land regulations help prevent the community from looking like the suburbs in the future. Rancho Dulce is truly an exceptional place, in a great little spot, and an exceptional value and we want to keep it that way.

We are inviting you to join our community of conservation minded individuals interested in caretaking and becoming stewards for a very special piece of rainforest. We encourage you to help us reforest this arm (Corridor) of Corcovado National Park. You would be surprised how fast things grow here.

We would love the opportunity to show you around and take you for a wonderful hike through our Reserve. For more information about Rancho Dulce, sustainable building, reforestation ideas and bamboo please contact us.
